Authorised bio-preparations: Australia
Australia
Australia: organic production for export is governed by the National Standard for Organic and Bio-Dynamic Produce (Department of Agriculture), and domestic certification relies on standard AS 6000. Both accept compost, composted manure, seaweed and farm-made plant preparations as fertilisers. Fertiliser sales are regulated by each state; pesticides, including biological ones, must be registered with the APVMA to be sold. A farmer who makes and uses these recipes on their own farm, without claiming certification, is not bound by these rules but must respect local regulations (seaweed collection, manure).
