Bio-preparations authorised in Mexico
Mexico
In Mexico, organic production is governed by the Organic Products Law (Ley de Productos Orgánicos, 2006) and the “Guidelines for Organic Agricultural and Livestock Operations” (2013). Annex 1 of these guidelines, amended in 2023, establishes the national list of permitted substances: These include Bordeaux mixture and copper sulfate (a maximum of 28 kg of copper per hectare over 7 years), calcium polysulfide (lime sulphur), sulfur, lime, and fatty acid soaps. The recipes below use substances from this list; on a certified farm, their use must be included in the organic plan and approved by the certification body.
