Authorised bio-preparations: Morocco
Morocco
Morocco: organic production is governed by an official text (Loi 39-12 et l'arrêté n° 271-15 du 29 janvier 2015 (cahier des charges, annexes III et IV)). Its list of permitted inputs includes, among others: compost, manure (not from factory farming), vermicompost, plant preparations and extracts, neem, potassium soap, sulphur, copper (Bordeaux mixture), with limits, fish meal and fish products, plant oils, wood ash, rock dust. These rules apply to anyone selling certified organic products. A farmer who makes and uses these recipes on their own farm, without claiming certification, is not bound by them, but must comply with the general rules on fertilisers and pesticides.
