Fermented liquid biofertilizer
Biostimulants Bio-inputRegulatory status of this variant: ⚠️ Tolerated
Liquid biofertilizer produced on the farm from manure, plant residues, molasses, and whey, for personal use only, without authorization for commercial sale. Manure is a Category 2 animal byproduct that may be applied to the soil without further processing if the competent authority finds no health risk; milk and milk products handled on the farm of origin are exempt from Regulation 1069/2009. Its application to the soil complies with national fertilization regulations (in Spain, Royal Decree 1051/2022).
A fermented liquid biofertilizer, rich in rapidly assimilated nutrients and beneficial microorganisms, that stimulates plant growth.
Application description: Dilute before applying (typically 1:10 to 1:20 with water) and apply as a foliar spray or to the soil (fertigation), preferably first thing in the morning or at dusk. Repeat every 15–20 days.
Dose: 1 litre in 2 to 4 litres of water: once a week on vegetables and once a month on long-cycle crops.
If the biol smells bad—like rot—instead of sweet and fermented, something has come into contact with the air: check the airtight seal and the vent valve. For foliar application, dilute 1 liter of biol in 10 to 20 liters of water. For soil irrigation, apply 1 to 2 liters per mature plant, diluted. Always use manure from healthy animals and chlorine-free water.
1) Mix the fresh manure with clean water in a plastic container with an airtight lid (50 to 200 liters, depending on the amount you want to prepare). 2) Add the dissolved molasses and plant scraps. 3) Add the buttermilk, if using it. 4) Seal the container tightly, installing a water-trap-style vent (a hose submerged in a bottle of water) to release gases without letting air in. 5) Let it ferment for 30 to 60 days, depending on the ambient temperature. 6) You’ll know it’s ready when it stops producing gas, has a dark brown color, and a sweet, fermented smell—never a rotten smell.
1) Fill the drum halfway with fresh manure. 2) Top up with water and mix well to break up the manure. 3) Close it, leaving a small air space connected by a hose to a bottle of water (water trap). 4) Leave to ferment for about 30 days, until no more bubbles come out in the bottle. 5) Strain.
A dark brown liquid with a sweet, fermented odor, rich in nutrients and phytohormones produced during anaerobic fermentation, used in diluted form as a foliar or irrigation biostimulant.
